Dolphin & Wildlife Boat Tour

from $32.00

Spend 2.5 hours cruising the calm waters of the Banana River Lagoon on a comfortable pontoon boat, guided by local captains who know exactly where the wildlife will be. Dolphins are the headliners — resident bottlenose pods feed and play right alongside the boat — but manatees, rays, herons, ospreys, and the stunning mangrove scenery of the Thousand Islands make every turn something new. The most popular boat tour in Cocoa Beach, and for good reason.

Wildlife You Might See

Dolphin

Bottlenose Dolphin

The stars of every tour. Resident pods of bottlenose dolphins feed, play, and socialize right alongside the boat on the Banana River Lagoon — often the very first sighting of the trip and always the highlight.

Manatee

West Indian Manatee

Gentle, slow-moving grazers that call the Banana River home year-round. Look for the telltale surface ripple or a broad tail sliding under — and in winter months, sightings become even more frequent as manatees gather in the warmer lagoon waters.

Heron

Great Blue Heron

A patient, prehistoric-looking hunter standing perfectly still in the shallows along the Thousand Islands. Watch long enough and you’ll catch one strike — fast as lightning, completely silent.

Osprey

Osprey

The lagoon’s aerial fisherman. Ospreys circle high above the Banana River before folding into a sudden dive, hitting the water feet-first at full speed. One of the most dramatic wildlife moments on any tour.
